         Maharajah Serfoji ll Memorial hall museum completes 18 years of Glory. In order to preserve the heritage of the illustrious maratha royal dynasty of thanjavur and also to preserve the antiques of maharajah serfoji ll, Prince Tulajendra Rajah Bhosle, 4th descendent of Maharajah Serfoji ll had formed the trust and had proposed to open a museum at "sadar mahal" in the palace premises in the name of "Maharajah Serfoji ll memorial hall". the museum was declared opened for the  public viewing on 11-10-1997. The Sardar Mahal Palace is more than 190 years old and is situated north to the Krishna Vilas Tank, which is now closed. This was the residential palace of King Serfoji and his descendants. Performing arts like drama, dance, music and other art forms were performed at the Sadar Mahal Palace. A facebook page started to bring back the past glory of Thanjavur and awareness on its heritage monuments has completed its 2nd year successfully.  Maharajah Serfoji 2 memorial hall museum, sadar mahal palace Thanjavur  facebook page was started on 2013 of 9th October by the 6th descendent of maharajah Serfoji ll , Prince Pratap Sinha Rajebhosle of sadar mahal palace. Today  celebrates its 2nd year with 5,250+ likes. We tha nk our page members and viewers for their Support and encouragement.The journey would not been continued without you.
